The mugs are a nice weight and the handcrafted feel adds character to my morning coffee. The red clay really does seem to keep the drink warmer longer than a standard ceramic cup.
The rich red clay heats up beautifully in the microwave and keeps my hot chocolate warm for a surprisingly long time. My hands stay cozy wrapped around the slightly textured surface.
These feel substantial in the hand and the unglazed rim gives them a nice rustic look on my shelf. Only nitpick is they're a bit heavy once filled, so I wouldn't hand them to a kid.
