The glass is thick enough to handle boiling water for a proper seal, and the little wire clamp keeps everything tightly closed. I've been using them for my strawberry jam and they look so cute lined up in the fridge.
The glass is thicker than I expected, so I don't worry about them cracking when I seal them hot. I've been using them for chili crisp and leftover sauces too, not just jam. The little lids snap down tight and nothing has leaked in the fridge yet.
Made a batch of strawberry jam last weekend and these little jars sealed up perfectly, way better than the plastic containers I used before. The glass feels sturdy without being heavy, and they look cute enough to leave out on the counter.
